“Official” typewriter pads of felt are spendy. Here’s a low-budget trim from Ikea. Get their BORRIS doormat ($1.29)… put your favorite typer on it…. trim to fit — round those edges off, by tracing the other end… and voy-LAH… you now can type a bit later into the evening without as much noise. I may try gluing two back to back for a bit more bounce.
