my name is sam & i am looking to purchase a typewriter in phily! where is the best place to go & brand? i’ve used olympia before 🙂

Well, Philly does not have a manual typewriter shop at the moment. I experimented with the idea and wound up with too many typewriters, including,heh, some Olympia SM-9s, which are among my faves, though I think three is enough and I have, well, er, more than that! The Olympia SF is also nice if you want a more portable machine, though the Olivetti Lettera 32 and Lettera 22 models are a bit nicer in some ways. Yes, I probably have some of those for sale, too, dang it.
That said I might be taking part in a flea market on June 8th — in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. Will announce this weekend and email you as well if it’s happening.
